The Rolls Royce Phantom Launch
Our client had access to a gold-star mansion in Coatesville, a 400-person strong guest list of the country’s elite, and the stunning new Rolls Royce Phantom to reveal. Not to mention, they had a win on the line – the most impressive reveal of the Phantom across the world would receive international acclaim from Rolls Royce themselves. In other words, the stakes were high.
The brief? Reveal the phantom as creatively as possible in a way that would wow a high-society guestbook in one of the world’s most recognisable mansions, the Dot Com Mansion.
Immediately, we got to work. We partnered with the client at the conceptualisation stage, imagining a totally hidden Phantom that echoed its name with a dramatic reveal.
On the day, guests were welcomed with a classic gala entrance, violin quartet included, and a garden party waiting to see out the sunset.
From there, it was time for the reveal. Our team worked behind the scenes to assemble a perfect interlocking soundscape to create the sense of a jungle emerging around the guests. In the darkness, a single light (powered by a drone, which the audience didn’t know) emerged, cutting toward them as the sound of an attack helicopter built in the background.
Once extinguished, the ‘helicopter’ light left the audience in darkness, accompanied by low-frequency heartbeats to build the tension. Finally, the brand-new Phantom glided smoothly into view, shrouded in smoke and mirrored lights.
We were ecstatic when this event’s reveal won the international competition later that same year (and our client was, too).
